"Tension" presents the works of German expressionists (M. Beckmann, G. Grosz, F. Marc, E. Nolde and others), as well as their most famous contemporaries (M. Liebermann and others). These works have made their way to the Art Museum of Estonia via the generosity of deceased private collectors.

Exhibition: Collection of Johannes Mikkel: the Art of Western Europe, Russia, and China from 16th-20th centuries

Place: Kadriorg Art Museum, Mikkel Museum

Additional information: In 1995, Johannes Mikkel donated his collection – more than 600 works of West European, Russian, Chinese and Estonian art – to the Art Museum of Estonia.
